My take on the to do list this year .....

A new project evolved over the weekend when I was playing in the studio and creating the new Resolutions range of pockets of whimsy. The idea is to create a collage each week which reflects what I wish for myself this year, embracing the woman I have become and the issues I am still working on, the pretty and the not so pretty - keeping it real and being brave enough to share the journey along the way. The idea is to create a visual journal so that come New Years Eve 2009 with bubbly in hand I can truly celebrate those resolutions and affirmations I wished for myself.

So here's the first one to share "Twirl under the most beautiful night skies"

and a closeup of my favourite an embossed leaf which comes from an 1890's postcard, the roses come from the same one

Materials used were 1940's advertisement page, vintage scrapbook page, paper doll dress, silk ribbon label vintage, vintage dress motif, vintage buttons, beads, sequins, adding machine number and vintage dictionary.

And I have included a download of the paper doll dress to share for your personal use, I would love some company on this journey, one of my favourite parts about Ruby St are the emails I receive sharing your art so come on girls lets get this party started!!
